Online Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

Progressive side bets: Casino games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often contain one of these. You typically lay a bet ($1 is the normal amt.) to attempt to win a side jackpot that can reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Although big jackpots like these are particularly appealing, they are also incredibly hard to win. You would need to get a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, picture this- you wager 20 hands and put the side bet every time. That is $20 you should have used towards the real game wager in place of a sucker bet. Just think about what you might have been able to win at a wager with better odds utilizing that twenty dollars.
Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only 1. This shifts the complete casino edge from twopercent with one zero wheel to a whopping 5% in American. The single number wager has just a one in thirty eight chance of winning, which are very long odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much lower house advantage.
Keno: Any version of Keno, and anyway you bet on it, the house edge can be a huge twenty-five percent. Yes, that isn’t a typo. Because of the huge amount of numbers you must pick, it isn’t recommended to play Keno very much. A number of times for entertainment, perhaps. But do not spend all your cash on it or you’ll quickly discover yourself bankrupt.
